Letters of Administration
A court issued grant authorising a person to wind up the estate of a deceased person who did not leave a valid will
The right to hold property belonging to another person as security for the payment of some debt, or the performance of some obligation
Limited Liability
The common legal structure in which shareholders are not liable for debts incurred by their companies
The winding up of a company by a liquidator. The company’s assets are converted into cash and paid to its creditors
A person appointed to conduct the winding up of a company and the liquidation of its assets
Listed Company
A company whose securities have been admitted to the stock exchange
Listed PIE
A listed PIE (portfolio investment entity) is a company listed on the New Zealand stock exchange that:
• has elected to become a PIE, and
• is not a PIE that uses the investor's prescribed investor rate
Listed Stock
Approved securities for admission to the Official List and for trading on the Stock Exchange
Listing Date
The date that an Issuer lists on the stock exchange, where their shares are available to be bought and sold by the general public
